How We Rate Skrill Casinos
Every score on SkrillCasinoSites.org comes out of the same seven criteria. Payments and bonus terms carry half the weight between them, because for someone paying by Skrill those two decide more than anything else: whether the wallet works in both directions, and whether a Skrill deposit counts for the offer at all.
The Rubric
| Criterion | Weight | What we look at |
|---|---|---|
| Payments and withdrawal speed | 25% | Skrill for deposits and withdrawals, account currencies, processing time, limits |
| Bonus terms | 25% | E-wallet exclusions, wagering, expiry, caps on winnings |
| Verification and account rules | 20% | When ID is requested, documents asked for, daily and monthly caps |
| Licence and operator background | 10% | Named operator, licensing jurisdiction, licence number |
| Game library and providers | 10% | Studio count, live tables, depth beyond slots |
| Support | 5% | Channels, reachability, straight answers on payouts |
| Responsible-gambling tools | 5% | Deposit limits, self-exclusion and how to set them |
Each criterion gets a mark out of 10. Multiply by the weight, add the seven results, and you have the score shown in our tables. Nothing else goes into it.
What We Check for UK Players
None of the casinos we list hold a UK Gambling Commission licence, and we never suggest otherwise. They operate under offshore licences, mostly from Curaçao or Anjouan, so GamStop doesn't reach them. That changes what we look for. We confirm the casino accepts players from the UK, check whether it offers a GBP account or forces you into euros (which means paying Skrill's conversion markup twice), and read the terms for the deposit and loss limits you can set yourself, since the national scheme won't apply. We also note that Skrill for British customers is run by Skrill Limited under the Financial Conduct Authority, which covers the wallet and not the casino.
The country sections of this site run the same seven criteria with their own market checks: whether a local self-exclusion register such as OASIS, CRUKS, ROFUS or Spelpaus reaches the casino, whether the account runs in the local currency, and which local help line a reader should see.
A Worked Example: OdinFortune
OdinFortune sits at 9.0 in our UK table. Here's how that number was put together.
| Criterion | Weight | Mark | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Payments and withdrawal speed | 25% | 9.8 | 2.45 |
| Bonus terms | 25% | 8.6 | 2.15 |
| Verification and account rules | 20% | 9.0 | 1.80 |
| Licence and operator background | 10% | 8.4 | 0.84 |
| Game library and providers | 10% | 9.6 | 0.96 |
| Support | 5% | 8.0 | 0.40 |
| Responsible-gambling tools | 5% | 8.0 | 0.40 |
Payments earned the top mark because Skrill works both ways there, which is rarer than it should be, and because you can hold pounds. It lost a little for the £40 minimum withdrawal and the one-to-two business days it takes to process an e-wallet payout. Bonus terms landed at 8.6: 700 free spins over four deposits is generous, 40x wagering is not.
Verification scored 9.0. ID comes before the first withdrawal, and the caps (£1,000 a day, £4,000 a week, £10,000 a month) are published rather than discovered after a win. On the licence we could name the operator, Novasphere Entertainment, and the Curaçao jurisdiction, but not a licence number we could check ourselves, so 8.4. Seventeen studios, from Evolution to Thunderkick, justify 9.6 for games. Support runs through a mailbox on a separate domain, and like every offshore site, limits and self-exclusion have to be arranged with the casino directly rather than through GamStop; both sit at 8.0.
What Keeps a Casino Off the List
A casino doesn't get scored at all if it refuses players from the market the page is written for, if Skrill isn't in its cashier, or if its terms let it cap winnings from your own deposit (a cap on bonus winnings is normal; a cap on real-money winnings is not). Terms that allow the operator to change a bonus after you've claimed it are also an automatic no.
Commission, Cadence and Limits of the Method
We earn a commission from some of the casinos we list, and it doesn't move a score. The ranking follows the numbers, and a casino with a commercial deal can still sit near the bottom. Scores are revisited in every review cycle, and when a casino changes its bonus or its cashier we update the table first and the prose right after. A score is a snapshot of what we verified, though. Casinos change terms without notice, and payout speed depends on the method you pick and on whether your account is already verified. Reviews are edited by Thomas Ashcroft; if you find something that no longer matches, the contact page reaches him directly.
